Financial Literacy Month - Resources for Your Friends and Family

April 23, 2025

Financial literacy is about understanding how money works and attempting to make more informed financial decisions for ourselves and our loved ones.

In light of Financial Literacy Month, I would like to share some resources that you and your friends and family might find interesting:

  • The National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) offers a variety of financial literacy resources, including personal finance calculators, educational articles, and interactive tools. If you are interested, check out the NEFE website.
  • And several apps designed to help children learn about saving and budgeting:
    • Piggybank— A savings app designed for children where parents can set savings goals and track progress.
    • Allowance Manager— A mobile app that helps parents manage their children's allowance and savings goals.
    • SmartyPig— A website that helps children save for specific goals, such as a trip or toy.
    • Greenlight— A debit card for kids that allows parents to manage their spending and set savings goals.

(The apps mentioned are for illustrative purposes. They should not be considered a solicitation for the purchase or sale of the securities.)

We'd love to hear from you if you have any questions or want to share other ideas to help promote financial literacy.
